How to handle UV Printer Printhead Malfunctions?

Every UV printer requires regular maintenance and care. Timely and proper protection of the printhead is the best way to ensure optimal operation and prevent blockages. Neglecting maintenance can result in costly expenses, as replacing the printhead, one of the core components of a UV printer, can cost tens of thousands of yuan. In some cases, when the printhead is clogged and unable to dispense ink, a simple cleaning can restore its normal function.

The following points are for reference only:

1. After the installation of the equipment is completed, maintenance and protection should be carried out on the equipment printhead. In order to ensure that the printhead is in the best working condition, as many images or a color strip should be drawn as much as possible before the equipment is officially put into operation. Check if the color of the color strip is complete. If the color is light, it indicates that the printhead has malfunctioned.

   
   

2. How to maintain the printheadafter completing work every day.
   

After completing all printing, it is necessary to clean the printheadin a timely manner to prevent ink evaporation from blocking the printheadand affecting the optimal working condition of the printhead. Before cleaning the UV printer printhead, it is necessary to prepare a screwdriver, syringe, alcohol, and a thin hose.

(1) Turn off the power to ensure safety, then use a screwdriver to remove the cover on the head of the UV printer, promptly unplug the plug connected to the printhead, take out the printhead, and then remove a small spring from the ink cartridge above the printhead and a small metal spring on the right side of the printhead.

(2) Fill a syringe with alcohol, connect a thin hose to the outlet of the syringe, squeeze out the alcohol, clean the hose, and repeat the operation more than 3 times to ensure that the hose and syringe are clean. Fill the syringe with alcohol again, connect the thin hose, connect the other end of the thin hose to the ink suction port of the printhead, and slowly and continuously squeeze the alcohol into the ink suction port. Clean the inside of the printhead multiple times to ensure that there is alcohol flowing out of each printhead. Repeat the operation until the alcohol flowing out is clear and free of impurities. 

(3) After a brief summary, return the UV printer printhead device to the head of the universal printer, start it up normally, run the built-in cleaning software, and actively clean the printhead.
